This year we are featuring two new lines of perennials. The first is a line of echinaceas (coneflowers) being introduced in many new colors and double forms. The second is the "Lily Looks" Asiatic Lilies.
Both echinacea and lilies are durable plants, able to withstand some drought with minimal irrigation. This is an issue on the minds of many gardeners this coming season. The echinacea also has an excellent shelf life and, when cut back, will bloom throughout the fall.
The new forms and colors now available in coneflowers have great impulse appeal, and have been given a great deal of exposure in recent gardening publications. This makes their projected sales very promising.
The "Lily Looks" lilies are a new breed of dwarf lilies perfect for displaying in pots. Their short growing habit prevents the wind from knocking them over, and they come in an appealing array of bright new colors. These lilies, along with the coneflowers, make some of the best cut flowers on the market.
