Hatchery- Manually removing eggs

Milking males and removing eggs from females begins well before dawn. This gives us control over breeding and increases fertility. Here we see a Lemon Harewake female having her eggs removed into two bowls. A Lemon Harewake male was used to fertilize one bowl. And a Ginrin Yamabuki Ogon was used to fertilize the other bowl. This gave us two controlled crosses with just 3 fish. The Lemon Harewake pair was a typical in-line cross. However, the Ginrin Yamabuki Ogon and Lemon Harewake cross was experimental and for research purposes. We are the first koi farm to have Ginrin Ki Utsuri Butterfly of excellent quality, available due to this type of contolled crossing and experimentation. We will be keeping the very best of these for in-line breeding in the future. The Ginrin Ki Utsuri Butterfly are our signature koi. Our Ginrin Ki Utsuri Butterfly was a Himitsu cross. This year we will be making the same cross used to produce these Ginrin Ki Utsuri Butterfly with different  females and males. If the cross once again gives us the desired results, the offspring will be bred with the original group. If all goes as planned, we will indeed have our own line of Ginrin Ki Utsuri Butterfly distinct to our company.
