Hosta 'Blue Angel' |
 Hostas are a foundational element of the perennial garden. Adding depth and interest, hostas have earned their position time and again as a perennial favorite for every type of gardener. Hosta 'Blue Angel' (center right of photo) is a wonderful, frosty blue hosta with gigantic, heavily-veined leaves. This plant forms clumps 3 feet high and 3 feet across, quickly establishing itself as a solid backdrop for the perennial garden.

Hosta 'Clifford's Forest Fire' PPAF |
 Hosta 'Clifford's Forest Fire' PPAF is another Clifford's introduction. It is a sport of hosta 'Sagae', found at our Tennessee nursery by John Clifford. This hosta really speaks for itself. It has beautifully large, heart-shaped leaves of varying shades with frosty blue-green centers and white margins. The leaf production is fantastic, and its growth habit is wider and shorter than 'Sagae', making a compact (but large) clump.

Hosta 'Clifford's Stingray' PPAF is a Clifford's introduction. It is tetraploid sport of 'Fire and Ice', with heavy green edging feathering into white leaf centers. Unlike other white-centered hostas, 'Stingray' holds up well in full sun, giving it more versatility for use throughout the perennial garden. Hosta 'Clifford's Stingray' has a very unique flower scape. The blooms are clustered together at the top, instead of trailing down the scape as in other hostas. This gives the flower a distinct look, and can even be described as little palm trees. |

Hosta 'Clifford's Comet' is part of "The Collector's Corner" line of perennials, a registered trademark of Cliffords Perennial and Vine, Inc. Its' heart shaped leaves have a green edging that feathers deep into a cream-colored center. Unique green flecking appears throughout the center of each leaf as well.

 Hosta 'Fire and Ice' has certainly proven itself as a classic choice for the hosta bed. The vivid white centers of the green-edged leaves are sure to brighten up any border or corner of the shade garden. This hosta will really stand out.

Hosta 'Great Expectations' |
 Hosta 'Great Expectations' is part of "The Collector's Corner", a registered trademark of Clifford's Perennial and Vine, Inc. This is a gorgeous hosta that showcases large, puckered leaves in substantial cascading clumps. The beautiful leaves feature unbeatable color combinations of blues, greens and yellows, with deep feathering from the edges inward. Short scapes allow the flowers to bloom close to the leaves, enhancing the already vivid display this hosta makes.

 Hosta 'Mistress Mabel' Is a plantaginea hybrid. The large, light green leaves have a white margin and are semi-upright, forming a medium size clump. The fragrant lavender flowers are very substantial in size and appear along branched scapes.

Hosta 'On Stage' |

Hosta 'On Stage' has wide, light yellow leaves with marginal green streaking and pronounced veining. 'On Stage' emerges later in spring, decreasing its suceptability to frost damage. This hosta will surely steal the show in the shade garden.  Hosta 'Patriot' is a sport of hosta 'Francee'. It has extra wide margins of the brightest white on a green leaf. 'Patriot' is a very showy hosta that will brighten up any shady part of the landscape.This hosta stays beautiful all season long in the shade. If planted in the sun, however, watch for browning on the edges by mid-July.
