Phlox 'Connie' |
 Garden phlox is an old standby for perennial gardens, particularily for the classic cottage style. Phlox 'Connie' is a dwarf garden phlox, with a height of only 18". This variety sports a pleasing two-tone effect, as each flower displays a prominant white star-shaped center, edged in a pretty pinky-purple. The short stature adds versatility for the perennial bed or container. Garden phlox do best in full sun, and have been known to attract hummingbirds. They are nice filler items for cut bouquets as well, with their thin scapes and fluffy flower heads. 'Connie' is a Clifford's introduction. |

 Garden phlox is an old standby for perennial gardens, particularily for the classic cottage style. Phlox 'Mary Beth' is a tall variety that stands nearly 36" in height. It showcases huge, light pink flower heads with small white centers accenting each individual flower. This variety is very mildew resistant. Garden phlox do best in full sun, and have been known to attract hummingbirds. They are nice filler items for cut bouquets as well, with their thin scapes and fluffy flower heads.  Phlox subulata is probably the second most popular perennial plant. It certainly is the first to be mass displayed in the garden center due to it's early bloom. We carry many varieties in quarts and 1 pots. In this picture, phlox subulata struts it's stuff with the best of early flowering plants. |
